This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Programme Manager (CCCM), and the direct supervision of Programme Officer (Capacity Building), the successful candidate will support IOM efforts to improve living conditions of crisis affected population across Ukraine particularly through capacity development of government/collective center authorities and CCCM actors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Capacity Building Coordinator in ensuring the implementation and coordination of capacity building project activities at the hub and oblast level, and in areas where IOM CCCM program is operating.in collaboration with CCCM team.

a. Conduct regular site visits and periodic learning needs assessment with CCCM team and site managers to inform and update the capacity building strategy and plan. b. Ensure all training package/materials, logistics at hub level in coordination with Capacity Building (CB) National Officer. c. In collaboration with CB team, work on periodic review, refinement and adaptation of CCCM training package for the rollout trainings based on the feedback from participants and contextual/ situational updates. d. Support in ensuring that the CM components, adult learning methodologies and contextualization are appropriate, relevant and practical for national site management actors in Ukraine utilizing local examples and good practices from the field. e. Collect examples of local good practices and ensure proper documentation and submission to CB Coordinator f. Conduct onsite trainings and other capacity building activities in coordination with CCCM in identified oblasts. g. Organize and coordinate the ToT-trained Pool of Trainers at hub level and provide support, skills enhancement, and facilitate periodic lessons learned reflection in coordination with the CB Coordinator and CCCM team h. Submit regular CB /training report and provide input, recommendations to CB Coordinator on how to enhance project implementation particularly on hub level roll out trainings and other CB activities i. Regularly update the IOM Training Tracker and Global CCCM Training Registry based on hub level training activities j. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the following technical and behavioral competencies:

Technical • Knowledge and expertise in capacity building especially on facilitating/ conducting trainings, developing modules and training tools, analysis of learning needs in the training cycle. Ability to draft clear reports and documentation

humanitarian or development field; • Work experience in training, facilitation, module development, and other capacity building activities relevant to humanitarian or development field especially camp management; • Work experience in displacement issue or camp management is an advantage; • Work experience from IOM or an international organization is preferable; • Good writing, communication and negotiation skills; • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results; capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

As it is a national UN Volunteer's assignment, the volunteer shall organize his/her accommodation by themselves. This is a full-time contract.

Entitlements of National UN Volunteer Specialist

The contract lasts for the period indicated in the vacancy with possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment.

Allowances: • Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) USD 1268 (equivalent in UAH) is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. This includes Well-Being Differentials for the period while the ICSC applies "E" hardship to duty stations in Ukraine.

Medical and life insurance: • Medical insurance: The UN Volunteer and eligible PFU dependents will receive UNV provided medical insurance coverage. Coverage for UN Volunteers begins from the Commencement of Service and normally ceases one month after the last day of the UN Volunteer Contract date. • Life Insurance: UN Volunteers are covered by life insurance for the duration of the UN Volunteer assignment. If a UN Volunteer dies during the UN Volunteer assignment, the eligible designated beneficiaries will be entitled to receive a life insurance lump sum. Leave entitlements: • Annual leave:  UN Volunteers accrue an entitlement to 2.5 days of Annual Leave per completed month of the UN Volunteer assignment. Unused accrued Annual Leave up to a maximum of 30 days is carried over in case of a contract extension within the same UN Volunteer assignment. Unused accrued Annual Leave may not be carried over in case of reassignment or a new assignment. • Learning leave: Subject to supervisor approval and exigencies of service, UN Volunteers may request up to ten working days of Learning Leave per consecutive 12 months of the UN Volunteer assignment, starting with the Commencement of Service date, provided the Learning Leave is used within the contract period • Certified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers are entitled to up to 30 days of certified sick leave based on a 12-month cycle. This amount is reset every 12-month cycle. • Uncertified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers receive seven days of uncertified sick leave working days in a calendar year. This amount will be reset at the established interval period.
