You have:
- Fluency in English and German;
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Initial experience in coordination activities, social activities, communications, outreach, materials design, exhibitions, or similar.
- Experience in event planning or organization, public engagement, or administrative support.
- Culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, among others), email, and internet.
- Familiarity with the UN system and values is an asset.

This assignment supports the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 27 November 2025 between UNV and the City of Bonn. The Campus Visitor Service Assistant will contribute to enhancing public engagement through the UN Bonn Campus Visitor Service, working within the Common Services Team and in close cooperation with the City of Bonn and UN Bonn entities.
Under the direct supervision of the Common Services Associate, the Campus Visitor Service Support Assistant UN Volunteer will:
Coordinate and organize visitor tours on the UN Bonn Campus.
Manage administrative and logistical aspects of the visitor service, including scheduling, room bookings, and calendar monitoring.
Organize and facilitate training sessions for tour guides (onboarding, refresher, and specialized topics).
Conduct quality assurance through spot checks and feedback mechanisms.
Ensure security clearance for tour guides in coordination with the UN Bonn Security Team.
Liaise with specialized UN agencies and external partners for thematic tours and presentations.
Organize and conduct security briefings and trainings.
Support UN Bonn internal and external communication efforts, including digital signage and intranet announcements.

Duty station of Bonn, Germany is surrounded by more than 20 other UN Agencies as the city shaped itself into the German City of the United Nations.
Germany is at security level 1 (Minimal) and is considered non-restrictive regarding travel. Currently there are no significant security threats in general nor direct threats to UN personnel or assets within the country. UN Volunteer entitlements and allowances: The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Monthly Living Allowance (Per month): EUR 1,526.71 Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 175 Exit allowance: USD 60 for each month served, paid on completion of contract

Leave entitlements: Annual leave: 1.25 days accrued per calendar month Certified sick leave: UN Volunteers are entitled to up to 15 days of certified sick leave based on a 12-month cycle. This amount is reset every 12-month cycle. Uncertified sick leave: 3.5 days for 12 months and 4 days for shorter assignments Learning leave: 5 working days per consecutive 12 months (shorter assignments are prorated)
