About the job
The Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Team Leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring CCCM quality programming in DRC’s CCCM and Protection managed displacement and Project sites in Abyei. His/her responsibilities encompass both operational and strategic elements to ensure that displacement and settlement sites are well-managed and residents' needs are met.
S/he will lead, oversee and coordination of CCCM activities, provide capacity building to Staffs, management of displacement sites, ensuring effective service delivery, protection, and the well-being of communities. S/he will foster a collaborative and supportive team environment with stakeholders, address residents’ needs, and ensure compliance with humanitarian standards. The role also focuses on leadership, advocacy, and emergency preparedness to maintain safety, dignity, and accountability within the camps..
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate CCCM and Protection teams, including planning, reporting, indicator tracking, and budget monitoring.
- Project Implementation: Oversee CCCM and protection activities at IDP sites, ensuring inclusive community engagement, service mapping, needs assessments, and timely response to gaps.
- Representation & Coordination: Represent DRC in external and internal forums, coordinate with government authorities, humanitarian actors, and community stakeholders.
- Community Engagement: Establish and support community committees, ensuring participation, inclusion, and protection mainstreaming.
- Information Management: Support IDP registration, feedback mechanisms, service referrals, and regular reporting.
- Capacity Building: Mentor CCCM staff, support community training, and contribute to assessments and planning of site services and infrastructure.
