Develop a comprehensive Emergency Contingency Plan for Tyre Al Bass World Heritage Site.

You have:

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or PhD) in Heritage Conservation, Archaeology, Architecture, Risk Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in cultural heritage protection, emergency planning, and project leadership.
  • Proven experience in developing emergency plans for UNESCO World Heritage sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training workshops.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and English report writing skills (C1 level).
  • Legal Expert: Law degree, 10+ years of experience, expertise in Lebanese and international cultural property law.
  • Structural Engineer: Advanced degree, licensed, 10+ years of experience with heritage structures, ICOMOS-recognized.
  • GIS/Mapping Expert: Degree in GIS/Geomatics, 5+ years of experience, proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS, drone data processing.
  • Prior experience working on cultural heritage projects in Lebanon, especially in Tyre.
  • Familiarity with UNESCO procedures and collaboration with national heritage authorities.
  • Proficiency in Arabic for effective local communication.
  • Competence in using digital tools for documentation, mapping, and training delivery.

This role supports UNESCO and the Lebanese Directorate General of Antiquities (DGA) in enhancing the protection and resilience of cultural heritage in crisis situations, particularly in the context of armed conflict.
