This is carried out across various lines of action, with the collaboration of other UNESCO offices and institutes, and in partnership with key stakeholders. As part of its ongoing efforts, UNESCO Santiago, through the Latin American Laboratory for Assessment of the Quality of Education (LLECE), is leading the implementation of the Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study (ERCE) 2025. In this cycle, an innovative module on human mobility has been incorporated to enhance the accuracy and relevance of learning assessment data for students on the move. This initiative addresses the growing need for greater inclusion and representation of refugee and migrant learners, historically underrepresented in previous study cycles due to limited sample sizes and reduced data reliability. The mobility module is piloted as an optional oversample in Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil. This work contributes to the broader goals of the 2030 Agenda and supports national efforts to promote equity and inclusion within education systems.
