JOB PURPOSE

To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and Activities

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate/ university degree in Rural Development, Agriculture, Education, Nutrition, and Social Sciences or a related field is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of MS office (Outlook, MS Excel, MS word). • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals. • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention. • Interest in humanitarian work

Languages: Fluency in both written and spoken communication in the Portuguese and English languages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

• Coordinate all efforts to guide the implementation of WFP's IDP operations in districts with guidance and support from Programme Associate and Programme Policy Officers. • Engage with stakeholders, develop and maintain partnerships that support efficient programme implementation that deploys a wide range of transfer modalities with guidance and support from Programme Policy Officers. • Within the specific area of responsibility, compile data and support analysis and preparation of reports (e.g., food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) in order to support operational decision-making. • Support partners in the implementation of livelihood activities according to programme design and guidelines. • Mobilise relevant government stakeholders to support and strengthen capacity of benefiaries on various agricultural and IGA activities. • Prepare and share brief NFR/reports on any mission conducted & support in preparing success stories of operations in CD • Ensure project documents of assigned districts are properly documented and filed • Perform any other duties assigned

SUPERVISION (Level/Methods of Supervision)

The selected candidate will be assigned a Buddy and Mentor for support and guidance during their career learning journey.

TRAINING COMPONENTS

The selected candidate will undergo a structured development programme which will be communicated on commencement.

LEARNING ELEMENTS

The candidate will be required to provide an overview of their learning experience and key deliverables during and at the end of the 6-month programme. A detailed guideline will be provided by HR on the requirements of this process.

Type of contract: Special Service Agreement - Level 4

Duty Station: Pemba, Cabo Delgado

Duration: 06 months
