ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

These jobs are found primarily in WFP Field based Offices, and job holders typically report to Programme Policy Officer or Programme Associate. The reporting lines may change depending on the size of the office. At this level job holders are expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of processes and activities related to monitoring that require some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff.

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver standard business support processes for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Support in developing and strengthening quality partnerships in support of WFP strategic objectives.
  2. Contribute to a partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling and outreach activities, with the aim to maximize resources and leverage policy and technical support for WFP’s work.
  3. Track and collate data to support in developing new strategies to maintain and strengthen partnerships with partners.
  4. Manage and maintain records and databases, to ensure information is organised and readily available for staff.
  5. Support in solicit inputs, including operational updates, to help inform partners on WFP’s programmatic offering;
  6. Draft quality briefs and proactively highlight strategic issues to supervisor to inform best course of action and nurture partnership growth.
  7. Process and manage routine administrative and organizational tasks, to contribute to the effective and timely management of resources
  8. Collate information for inclusion in reports, documents and correspondence, to support the effective work of donor relations unit.
  9. Contribute to improvement of business procedures and processes.
  10. Performs other duties (such as general correspondence, attending meetings, minutes of meetings, reports, follow-up, etc.) as required

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent degree in Business Administration , Accounting , International relations. Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.

Language: Fluency (level C) in oral and writting in Arabic and English languages .

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word. • Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision. • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals. • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention. • Ability to offer guidance or basic on-the-job training to more junior staff.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Fixed-term Appointment: an appointment for a continuous period of one year and shall have a specified expiration date and be subject to a probationary period of one year, which may be extended to 18 months.

Annual Net Pay Salary: as per the established salary scale with then the country

Staff Assessment A staff assessment, comparable to national income tax, shall be applied to the gross salaries and such other payments as are computed on the basis of salary, The assessment shall be calculated at rates set forth in the FAO Administrative Manual.

Dependency allowances: applicable to children up to 18 years of age, or up to 21 years in full-time school attendance

United Nations Joint pension fund a deduction of 7.9% from the pensionable remuneration will be made from the net salary, the WFP will contribute of 15.8%

Medical Insurance: mandatory for the staff member and can be extended to dependents in a cost-sharing

Annual leave: 2.5 days a month and Sick leave: 2 days per month

Official Holiday: 10 days as officially established for each duty station
