JOB PURPOSE:
To provide administrative support to emergency coordinator and other emergency team members for efficient and effective management of the response. The incumbent will be supervised and managed by the emergency coordinator.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Emergency coordinator, the national emergency response officer will be responsible for the following duties.
- Follow up and implement administrative requests related to emergency response.
- Process and manage routine administrative and financial tasks interfacing the emergency unit and other functional areas, to contribute to the effective and timely management of emergency resources.
- Manage and maintain records of meetings and training sessions., to ensure information is organized and readily available for use.
- Respond to standard queries and provide timely and accurate guidance related to emergency response.
- Assist in documentation of success stories, lessons learnt and best practice.
- Support in the preparation of training and documentation of the proceedings.
- Support in the development and tracking of mission plans and work plan calendars for the emergency response team.
- Organize and coordinate field missions ensuring the right information is disseminated to the right partners and stakeholders.
- Manage an inventory of emergency response equipment and resources, in close collaboration with the relevant units.
Contribute to monitoring and reporting of emergency response
activities.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
A minimum of first degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Motion Picture photography or any other related qualification
Desired Experiences for entry into the role:
A minimum of five years of progressive work experience in Communications
or Motion Picture Photography.
Demonstrate responsibility, proactiveness and initiative to respond and/or
act independently under minimal supervision and general guidance.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language both written and oral.
