ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This position is found in the WFP Angola, Luanda Office and the job holder will typically report to a Programme Policy Officer or Head of Field Office. At this level, the job holder is expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen operational problems on a daily basis. The Job holder is expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate support staff.

JOB PURPOSE

To support effective delivery and maintenance of client-focused, value-for-money oriented quality administrative practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Provide support to a range of administrative services, including facilities and transport, travel and accommodation for colleagues, protocol, and supply chain related.
  2. Collate and process information including dissemination to support the production of standard documents and reports for the unit, to enable decision-making and the effective management of resources.
  3. Manage and maintain paper and electronic records within the area of responsibility in accordance with established procedures, to ensure swift and easy data access as required.
  4. Support research and perform basic analyses of data, to contribute to the provision of accurate information and effective management of resources.
  5. Take responsibility for the maintenance of set standard systems and files, to ensure information is accurate and readily available for the function.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in administration is desirable

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication English and Portuguese Languages

Experience: At least 2 or more years of professional experience in developing and implementing a change management strategy within or for government

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • MS(Word,Excel,Outlook), Knowledge of IT& Assets Management
  • Ability to demonstrate a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy and tact.

Contractual Information

Gross Monthly Salary Range: $1925 to $2513
