You have:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as computer science, information systems, mathematics, or statistics is required.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in analysis, planning, design, or related fields is required.
- Fluency in English or French (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable.
- Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
Result of Service Develops effective recommendations on systems design and applications to meet business requirements, and implements projects in a timely and efficient manner. Develops creative approaches to problem resolution. Develops partnerships and interacts effectively with colleagues and users internally and externally, to include demonstrated ability to persuade others to accept systems recommendation, modifications, etc. Deliver business requirements and analysis documents, presentations and related material.

Duties and Responsibilities ICTS is looking for an experienced Business Requirements Analyst who would be required to work with business owners, subject matter experts and the technical team with the responsibilities as mentioned below:
- Develop a good understanding of the big picture of the business domain surrounding the solution to be developed.
- Perform stakeholder analysis and document the findings.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions, and as needed, develop graphical and textual artifacts to clarify requirements and decisions. Use collaborative tools to collaborate and help participants think through different problems and solutions.
- Analyse and interpret requirements, recommend workarounds, value additions, and remove solution bottlenecks for the stakeholders.
- Document concrete requirements and product deliverables by creating use cases, functional and requirement specifications documents.
- Categorize requirements as functional (features required by the end-users), non-functional (requirements for the performance, usability and compliance of the deliverables) operational (operations carried out in the background) and technical, and accordingly segregate them in different types of documents.
- Prototype and model requirements to convey to the end users what they might get as deliverables as well as use prototyping as required for solution verification, error identification and getting early feedback regarding the user interface of the project.
- Considering the scope and business priorities and prioritise implementation of requirements and deliverables by working closely with the business owners and the Technical Team(s).
- Gain requirements sign-off to get written approval for the requirements to be developed.
- Act as the “Requirement Gatekeeper” and validate any new requirement or changes for their effect and impact on the existing requirement set of the deliverables.
- Assist and advise related to change management due to changes in business requirements and or scope schedule of deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between managers, stakeholders, subject matter experts and software development teams.
- Prepare test cases and facilitate in user acceptance testing of the deliverables against agreed business requirements
- Prepare and maintain end-user documentation/manuals
Prepared and give client presentations.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in analysis, planning, design, of computer information systems or related area. Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems is an asset. Language: Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
