Business Performance and Contract Management Specialist

Why we are recruiting

As part of the Business Performance and Contract Management team, this position will hold a key role in providing efficient and accurate day-to-day business administration and on-the-ground support to the Business Engagement team in China throughout the whole contract lifecycle. In addition, the role will provide to center teams in Geneva the business performance updates reflecting the patterns of growth, retention, and quality. The role requires a strong focus on operational excellence and data analytics.

The Business Performance and Contract Management Specialist reports to Head of Business Engagement based in China with a functional dotted line to Switzerland.

Main responsibilities

Contract Management (50%)

  • Manage contract in its whole lifecycle: create contract opportunities, generate contracts, support contract negotiation, perform upgrades/downgrades and change of engagements, execute contract terminations, in close collaboration with Legal and Finance
  • Assist companies in joining the Forum by providing necessary information and support in close collaboration with Legal and Finance
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Document business process and maintain material up to date

Business Performance (30%)

  • Oversee and track the business performance for relevant internal teams by extracting data from dashboards and conducting data analysis including on OKRs
  • Provide regular business performance updates to relevant internal teams
  • Offer regular updates for the Business Engagement team regarding contract renewal, contract pipeline progress, unpaid bills, and other useful information

Other related duties (20%)

  • Serve as the liaison in China for matters concerning an internal decision-making board
  • Follow up with business engagement team to make sure overdue invoices are resolved in a proactive manner
  • Participate in meeting with Information Technology for continuous improvement
  • Provide other related support within the wider Business Strategy and Services team

The successful candidate will be assessed on

  • Operational excellence: autonomous timely and accurate management of contract and account receivable operations.
  • Data analytics and data quality: ability to generate timely, accurate reports using Excel and leveraging Tableau dashboards
  • Accountable and proactive attitude to support business teams.
  • Strong collaboration with stakeholders: interaction and positive feedback.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

Education Background

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in business administration, economics, management or related field. A bachelor’s degree in combination with two additional years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of the master’s degree.

Work Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in sales operations or order/contract management preferred
  • Experience in working at multinational corporations or international organizations preferred

Knowledge and skills

  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a strong asset
  • Customer-oriented with good communication skills and keen attention to detail
  • Sound business judgement
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to handle priorities, complex and ambiguous cases
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams both on-site and remotely
  • Great presentation skills
  • Robust excel, data analytics and statistical skills
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
