The Opportunity

Plan International has been working in Laos since 2007. Between 2020 and 2027 we aim to reach 1.5 million people including 100% of adolescent girls, or 15% of the Laos population. We will work towards this goal by perusing gender transformative health and nutrition, education and skills; skills, opportunities, youth employment and entrepreneurship (SOYEE) and adolescent development and participation programmes. In alignment with Plan global and regional priorities, Laos’ overarching influencing goal is to combat child marriage, early forced marriage and unions, and adolescent pregnancy in Laos.

Do you have what it takes?

This role is responsible for identifying funding opportunities in line with Plan International Laos programme priorities, writing successful grants proposal in coordination with programmes and operations colleagues and strengthening systems and processes for effective grant management Contributes to new business development and entrepreneurial approaches to fundraising, including philanthropies and working with the private sector. Works with Laos Country team, National Offices and thematic technical experts across Plan International to develop and submit quality concept notes and project proposals to increase Laos restricted funding and achieve income targets established in the country funding strategy.

Location: We will be recruiting globally for this role, but the individual must be based in Vientiane, Laos and therefore support with relocation is available.

Type of Role: 2-year renewable contract
