How can you make a difference?

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Service Quality Management, P-5 in the Global Shared Services Center, the Business Analyst (Quality Assurance) P-3 will define and implement a quality assurance framework within the center which is in line with the organizational risk framework. The framework addresses financial, reputational and fraud risk and sets out a programme of testing to ensure that the risks are addressed as well as proposed remedial actions arising from any critical risks uncovered. The role will also support process simplification efforts across the center.

This will involve:

Development and implementation of a quality assurance framework

  • Development of a framework of quality assurance activities that address specific risks of the GSSC business and incorporate testing of the quality of service provided to GSSC customers.
  • Documentation of the process for assessing risk and determining testing levels
  • Development of a testing schedule as well as a reporting mechanism
  • Development of a system for identifying and reporting on transactional errors
  • Ensuring testing is carried out as per the testing plan and actions identified for any issues found.
  • Issue monthly reports on QA activities and actions – arrange meetings with management to discuss as needed. These should include regular reporting of critical issues to the Comptroller
  • Work closely with business areas to discuss risks and issues as well as agree actions

Oversight of GSSC inputs to the organizational risk framework

  • Co-ordinate with the sections to complete input to eGRC and reflect categorizations of the QA team

Projects and Business Process Improvement

  • Ensure use of an agreed methodology for process improvement (e.g. LEAN) and maintain tools to be used
  • Contribute to and deliver projects as required to support efficiency of Section
  • Research and identify best practices and suggest innovation to improve processes and effectiveness of unit/stream.

Co-ordinate with other sections

  • Work collaboratively with QA teams in other sections to ensure that the agreed framework is followed.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in accounting, business administration, economics, financial management or other relevant field.
  • A first University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in quality assurance, audit or a related field.
  • Previous hands on experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity is required.
  • Prior work experience with an international organization is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of shared services/business support centre is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of process improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN) is highly desirable.
  • Prior hands on experience in field-office locations is highly desirable.
  • Previous hands on experience and knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. SAP) and case management tools (e.g. ServiceNow) is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
