The OpportunitySave the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Bundle Up! Project Assistant for the Malawi Country Office, Lilongwe.

Background (Brief)The “Bundle Up! Nutrition for Small and Sick Newborns in Malawi” project aims to improve access to quality nutrition care for small and sick newborns at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH). The project focuses on identifying innovative, low-cost, and sustainable solutions to address critical nutrition challenges affecting this vulnerable group. A key first step involved conducting a comprehensive needs assessment, and the findings will guide the development of performance-based specifications and a market dialogue process to identify suitable innovations.

The Project Assistant will support both programme delivery and administration to ensure smooth implementation of project activities, coordination, and documentation.

The role holder will work closely with the Innovation Specialist and Innovations Manager to support day-to-day project operations, including sprint planning, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, communication, procurement support, and reporting. The role will also contribute to monitoring, learning, and documentation of project innovations and outcomes.

In addition, the Project Assistant will support engagement with partners, government stakeholders, and community participants, ensuring effective coordination and timely delivery of activities.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder may be required to work outside the normal role profile and adjust working hours accordingly.
