These documents will cover critical areas such as the application of the UNGP within the disability rights framework, the transition from institutional to community-based support models, legal capacity and decision-making autonomy, policy barriers and regulatory challenges, human rights risks in service provision, due diligence requirements, accountability mechanisms, and strategic measures to ensure compliance with human rights standards. The foundational documents will provide structured guidance for service providers, policymakers, and stakeholders to foster rights-based, inclusive, and high-quality support services for persons with disabilities. Under the project coordinator, the consultant will contribute to developing the foundational documents by providing expert advice from a CRPD service provider perspective, researching, analyzing policy and regulatory frameworks, developing practical guidance for service providers.
