Org. Setting and Reporting

This position is to be filled within the International Civil Servants Associations (ICSMA), for its entity La Mutuelle. The incumbent will report to the Investment Officer.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Investment Officer, the incumbent: LOAN APPLICATIONS PROCESSING: - Verifies all information provided by applicants in the loan applications, notably with the Human Resources and Finance Departments, and with La Mutuelle's files; - Verifies all information provided by applicants on existing indebtedness. Calculate, according to the rules and in consideration of the category of loan requested (ordinary or housing) and the specificities of the Organization concerned, the amount of the possible loan; - Checks the validity, accuracy and relevance of the documents provided in support of the loan applications; - Liaises with the applicants to request more information, clarification, supporting documents to process the study; - Provides information by telephone and/or email to requestors about the services provided by ICSMA, notably those related to the loan process; - Follows up and verifies the justifications received related to the utilization of the funds for housing purpose or for another means. CUSTOMER SERVICE: - Provides information on the various services offered by ICSMA and enroll new members; - Finalizes the loan processes (verification of the documents received, issuance and approval of the bank transfers,…); - Processes financial transactions such as deposits and withdrawals from members’ CHF and USD current and deposit accounts; - Processes accounting transactions related to loans and financial transactions. Receives feedback and complaints from members and applicants; - Opens and closes the teller, estimates cash requirements, orders funds to the bank, counts the cash register with the accountant. Effect all bank transfers via e-banking and other IT system, contacts the bank or the member in the event of enquiries, problems with a transaction, establishes the list of standing orders,…; - On duty at affiliated organizations. SECRETARIAT: - Handles the reception of documents received from members (loan applications, designations of beneficiaries, powers of attorney, address changes, bank account registrations, etc.), enters them into the computer system, requests missing documents or correction of incorrect ones, handles telephone calls, e-mails, provides documents to members, files documents in physical or electronic folders.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Job - Specific Qualification

Work Experience

A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the financial field is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.. A minimum of three (3) years of experience within the United Nations Common System or a similar international organization is desirable. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in customer lending processes is desirable. At least one (1) year of relevant experience in bank reconciliations is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in both English and French is required.

Assessment

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise, which will be followed by competency-based interview.
