You have:
- Completion of secondary school education. Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, economics, public relations, public health or related fields is desirable.
- At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience with at least one (1) year in development programming or humanitarian assistance.
- Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English.
- Fluency in another UN language is a plus.
- Experience in partnership management or grant proposal and budget review.

Contract Duration: The Programme Assistant (NGO Partnerships) will be contracted for an initial term of 12 months. Contract may be extended based on business need and satisfactory performance.

WFP also supports Lebanon’s National Poverty Targeting Programme, and Lebanon’s Emergency Crisis and COVID-19 Response Social Safety Net Project (ESSN)

Job Purpose To support activities related to engagement and management of Cooperating Partners (CP) and other strategic partners in order to effectively meet the food assistance needs of WFP beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of the related Head of Unit or his/her designate, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
• Support the call of proposals for the WFP cooperating partners, with preparation, launch of the call, collection of proposals, and other administrative tasks; • Support in reviewing the proposals received and the related budgets; • Organize and take the minutes of the relevant review panels and committees; • Contribute to the capacity assessment and risk assessment and mitigation plan of cooperating partners; • Support the preparation of the Field Level Agreements (FLA) and other types of partnership documents with the cooperating partners; • Support relevant Units and Functions of the CO with guidance regarding FLA management, including the corporate system; • Participate in the periodic visits to Cooperating Partners during the implementation to better identify and mitigate risks related to the utilization of the Programme funds; • Maintain accurate records and files within the field of work, including the Unit Library and database, update the CO Document Repository; • Liaise with Field offices and other relevant Units and Functions to resolve issues or obtain additional information related to the FLA management; • Contribute to advancing gender and disability agendas by integrating those into actions of everyday business and Partners’ work, to enable the implementation of the relevant UN/WFP policies and standards; • Provide inputs to the performance evaluation of Cooperating Partners implementing WFP programmes; • Support organization of regular meetings and field visits to support and build the capacity of the field offices and the Cooperating Partners in the implementation of WFP programmes; • Perform other related duties as required, including ad-hoc reporting, meeting minutes, and preparation of project documents.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience in partnership management or grant proposal and budget review • Ability to facilitate discussions and coordinate tasks with multiple technical teams • Effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills • Agility and stamina to work in a fast-paced working environment • Ability to maintain regular, well-organized, and accurate records • Proficient in MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint), internet search and mapping software Hands on experience in WFP, Government, or large NGO programming is a plus
Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. Bachelor’s degree in the field of social sciences, (i.e., economics, community/economic development), public relations, public health or other related fields is desirable.
Experience: At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience with at least one (1) year experience in the field of development programming, humanitarian assistance, refugee operation, program administration, government work, or related fields.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English. Fluency in another UN language is a plus.
