Overview

Execute a variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks.

You have:

  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience is required.
  • Proficient/Fluent level of French is required.
  • Experience with Vision, travel management systems, consultant contracting, procurement processes is an asset.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision and guidance of the Operations officer, you as the Administrative Associate are responsible for executing a broad variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks for the respective section requiring in-depth knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience is required.
  • Skills: Policies, SharePoint, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Information Systems.
  • Language Requirements: Proficient/Fluent level of French is required.

Desirables:

  • Knowledge of another official UN language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.
  • Experience with Vision, travel management systems, consultant contracting, procurement processes is an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
