You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in student support and admission role.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Basic understanding of digital tools, software applications, and online platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies.
  • Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or training, particularly in a digital literacy or educational setting, is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities A. Training Support 1. Assist in Training Delivery: Support the Digital Literacy Trainer in facilitating engaging and interactive training sessions covering essential digital literacy skills. Help prepare training materials, such as presentations, handouts, and exercises, to enhance student learning. 2. Facilitate Learning Activities: Assist in conducting group activities, practical exercises, and discussions to encourage student participation and collaboration. Provide hands-on support during practical sessions, guiding students as they practice their digital skills. B. Student Engagement 1. Mentor and Support Students: Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, encouraging students to ask questions and seek help as needed. Provide one-on-one assistance to students, addressing their challenges and enhancing their understanding of digital tools. 2. Monitor Student Progress: Assist in evaluating student performance through quizzes and assessments, providing feedback to help students improve their skills. Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation, reporting progress to the Digital Literacy Trainer. C. Collaboration and Communication 1. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Literacy Trainer and other team members to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students and to graduate 20 students in the first cohort. Participate in team meetings, assist in outreach efforts to promote the Basic Digital Literacy Programme within the community and encourage student enrollment. Advocate for the importance of digital literacy and encourage student engagement in outreach initiatives. D. Curriculum Support 1. Refine and Update Curriculum: Collaborate with the Digital Literacy Trainer to refine and update the curriculum for three cohorts, ensuring it remains relevant and engaging. Assist in the creation and preparation of training materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises. E. Training Assistance 1. Provide Logistical and Technical Support: Provide logistical and technical support during training sessions to ensure smooth delivery for all three cohorts. Facilitate group activities and assist with hands-on exercises under the guidance of the Digital Literacy Trainer. F. Student Monitoring and Assessment 1. Track Student Attendance and Performance: Help track student attendance and performance, maintaining accurate and organized records for all three cohorts. Assist in evaluating student progress by supporting the administration of quizzes, assignments, and practical assessments.

Qualifications/special skills

Bachelor’s degree in education, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in student support and admission role. Basic understanding of digital tools, software applications, and online platforms.

Desirable Qualifications Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or training, particularly in a digital literacy or educational setting, is preferred. Total remuneration: 8,370.00 USD /6 months – disbursed in monthly installments upon completion of assignments, in addition to indemnities of 8.33%
