This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.

The position is based in Manila, Philippines within the Manila Administrative Centre. The Manila Administrative Centre is IOM’s global administrative center based in the Philippines which provides a range of administrative services mainly covering human resources, finance, procurement, online communication and information technology.

The Information and Communications Technology Operations Centre consolidates the Organization’s information and communications technology (ICT) support through 24 hours a day, seven days a week global service center and provides IOM staff with the tools and technologies they need to perform their work effectively. The Operations Centre acts as the focal point for IOM Field Offices on matters related to ICT service delivery and support. It defines ICT standards and solutions and facilitates the development and support of PRISM and other applications such as MiMOSA (Migrant Management and Operational Systems Application) and iGATOR (Integrated Global Airlines Ticket Order Record). The Operations Centre is also responsible for IOM’s intranet and document management system.

The MiMOSA eco-system is IOM’s institutional tool for migrant solutions.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Software Development Manager or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV DevOps Engineer collaborates with the various development, infrastructure, QA and PM teams to build and maintain end-to-end DevOps pipelines based on product/project needs.

• Design and implement DevOps solutions using Azure DevOps • Setup new build and release pipelines for new and existing applications on.Net, Java, PHP and mobile application technology stack • Integrate existing CI/CD toolset with Azure DevOps (Unit test, SonarQube, TestComplete, RedGate, Terraform, Fortify, Docker, etc) • Continuously enhance and maintain DevOps solutions • Ensure DevOps solutions are compliant to IT security standards • Participate in the high level solution design of the system in conjunction with the System/ Solution Architect. • Documentation of DevOps solution (configuration and setup) • Provide effective knowledge transfer to other engineers to ensure continuity and self sufficiency • Communicate project status, issues and risk factors to project team members. • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

at the national and/or international experience developing web applications; • Experience in Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, and scripting • Extensive experience in building automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. • Knowledge in Atlassian Bamboo/Jenkins is advantageous • Excellent knowledge of scripting (powershell, shell commands, etc.) • Knowledge in YAML • Knowledge in database deployment and automation in database deployments • Possess good understanding of web based applications, hosting, architecture and infrastructure • Familiarity with .net, Java, PHP and mobile application stack is desirable • Possess test automation skills is advantageous • Experience in GIT • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly • Able to partner with the technical team to elicit, prioritize, and obviate critical development challenges • Ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as technical users. • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

The Philippine archipelago is geographically located between latitude (approximately) 4o23'N and 21o25'N and longitude (approximately) 112oE and 127oE. It is composed of 7,107 islands, with a land area of 299,764 sq. kilometres. Its length measures 1,850 kilometres, starting from the point near the southern tip of Taiwan and ending close to northern Borneo. Its breadth is about 965 kilometres. The Philippine coastline adds up to 17,500 km. Three prominent bodies of water surround the archipelago: The Pacific Ocean on the east, the South China Sea on the west and north, and the Celebes Sea on the south. This position accounts for much of the variations in geographic, climatic and vegetational conditions in the country

UN Volunteer benefits and entitlements: -International UN Volunteer Specialist receives approximately USD 2,516.27 as Monthly Living Allowance. -Provided with assignment travel cost and entry lumpsum. -Enrolled in health, life, disability insurance. -Family allowance for recognized primary family unit: USD 250 for 1 dependent; USD 450 for 2 or more dependents. -Entitled to annual leave, 2.5 days per month. -Provided with exit lumpsum and repatriation travel to support transition at the end of assignment.
