The Report is funded by a group of governments, multilateral agencies and foundations and published annually by UNESCO to serve the international community. It is widely recognised as an indispensable advocacy and technical tool supporting inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning for all. Under the overall authority of the Assistant Director-General for Education, the overall guidance from the GEM Report Director and the immediate supervision of the GEM Report Senior Policy Analyst (Thematic), the Associate Project Officer (Research) will take responsibility for supporting: (i) the preparation of the 2023 GEM Report; (ii) PEER country profiles on technology; iii) the regional reports on technology and education. The incumbent’s major activities will include: Long Description ---------------- - **2023 GEM Report on technology** - Participate in research meetings on the thematic and monitoring part of the 2023 GEM Report and provide input and feedback on the drafts of different chapters. - Contribute to the thematic part of the Report to respond to research needs emerging during its preparation. - Carry out research and draft one chapter of the GEM Report as agreed with the supervisor. - Contribute to the fact-checking and referencing process upon request. - **Southeast Asia regional report 2023 on technology** - Support report development, helping reach out to partners and structure their engagement. - Support background paper commissioning process helping identify authors. - Support report development, conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis, literature review, and preparing successive drafts of sections or chapter(s). - Support advocacy and dissemination.
