These are related to ESDfor2030 Roadmap, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), environmental education, the Climate Change Education and ICT in Education policy and ICT Teachers competency framework for Teachers within the framework of UNESCO’s mandate. The Associate Project Officer will be based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as part of the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia and under the supervision of the Beijing Office. The Associate Project Officer will assist in coordination and effective implementation of the education sector programme and budget. They will support and assist in resource mobilization efforts for the education sector and inter-sectoral collaborations with a specific focus on the ESDfor2030 roadmap, climate change education, ICT in Education and the ICT Competency Framework for teachers, as part of the programme priorities in Mongolia. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -------------------------------- 1\. Support in collecting and analysing reports, research papers, publications and documents in ESDfor2030 Roadmap, Education for Sustainable Development, environmental education, ICT in Education Policy and ICT Teacher competency Framework and Climate Change Education, policies and laws, regulations, strategies, government reports, education statistics, media reports, articles, and journals for the education sector programme in Mongolia; 2\. Assist in preparing project documents, proposals and reports to support the coordination and implementation of the UNESCO Education programme, with a sharper focus on the ESDfor2030 Roadmap, ICT policy and ICT Competency framework for teachers, Education for Sustainable Development, environmental education and Climate Change; 3\. Provide support in the promotion of inter-sectoral co-ordination with other programmes sectors in the Beijing Office such as Culture Sector in Intangible Heritage, Science Sector in ESD, Low Carbon, Climate Change Education and DRR, SHS in Youth and Skills and CI Sector in Digital skills, digital literacy and OER; 4\. Coordinate and organize international and national workshops in ESDfor2030 roadmap, ICT policy and ICT Competency Framework for Teachers, Education for Sustainable Development, environmental education and Climate Change Education. Facilitate collaborations with institutional partners through webinars, seminars, workshops and events; SKILLS AND LANGUAGES -------------------- 5\. Support and contribute towards the preparation of resource mobilization concept papers and project proposals for the ESDfor2030 roadmap, ICT policy and ICT Competency Framework for Teachers, Education for Sustainable Development, environmental education and Climate Change Education; 6\. Support the Beijing office in the follow-up with specific HQ Units and Institutes in ESDfor2030 roadmap, ICT policy and ICT Competency Framework for Teachers, Education for Sustainable Development, Climate Change Education, coordination with the Member States, National Commissions and education stakeholders; 7\. Assist in the follow-up and monitoring of the implementation of education aspects in the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework especially for the Transforming Education Summit (TES) follow-up in Mongolia. Ensure effective coordination with the RCO office and strengthened partnership with UN agencies, funds and programmes such as UNICEF, UNDP, development agencies, donors and NGOs for coordinated joints actions and implementation of projects; 8\. Support the follow-up with UNESCO partners in Education in sub-regional countries, Category I Institutes, Category II Centres and UNESCO knowledge networks in ESD, GCED, ASPnet for related education sector activities in Mongolia; 9\.
