- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in culture and/or safeguarding intangible cultural heritage or a related area, of which preferably one (1) year acquired at international level.
- Knowledge of programme/project management in the field of living heritage or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to edit and draft clearly and concisely.
- Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills, including knowledge of MS software (Word, Excel etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of either English or French and good knowledge of the other working language.

In particular, the incumbent will: - **Contribute to the living heritage and education programme** by assisting with the global programme coordination and development, identifying new projects and activities, developing concept notes and proposals, reviewing documents, providing technical support to project elaboration and the identification of potential financing partners, and liaising with the Education Sector on joint programme activities. In addition, assist with the development and maintenance of the Programme’s Clearinghouse. Collect and consolidate data required to monitor action at the country level for reporting in the context of statutory meetings of the 2003 Convention and Regular Programme reporting, as well as drafting related inputs and contributions in a timely manner.
