Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Project Officer is assigned to the Public Sector Management and Governance Sector Office (SG-PSMG) within the Sector Group (SG). The Sectors Group is a single operational group comprising seven sector offices that aims to deliver impactful sector strategy, initiatives, and integrated solutions that advance ADB's strategic agenda in the region and with ADB's clients. The Sectors Group delivers or supports the delivery of sovereign and nonsoverign, and advisory operations, and knowledge services, supports regional departments (RD) and resident mission (RM) in engaging with Developing Member Countries (DMCs), and ensures ADB's technical leadership externally and internally. PSMG is responsible for policy development and dialogue, knowledge management, project quality assurance, sector analytic work, and loan and technical assistance processing and administration in the public management, public finance, trade and governance sectors.

You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to designated International Staff and senior National Staff.

Your Role

As an Associate Project Officer, you will provide necessary support for technical inputs and analyses in the identification, design, processing, administration, and evaluation of loan and technical assistance (TA) projects, and non-lending products and services (NLPS) to support public finance sector policy and strategies and public management issues in the Division's regional developing member countries (DMCs). You will ensure compliance with ADB's policies, operations manual, project administration instructions, and assistance-related documentations; and provide support for portfolio performance, multi-sectoral research, quality knowledge products, administrative services, and mentoring of support staff in the Division.

Additional Information

ADB will be rolling-out a new job grading structure on 1 January 2025, which may result in a change of the position grade and title with no change in the terms of reference. By accepting this offer, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of such changes resulting from the new job grading structure.
