The current phase focuses on the replacement of an existing obsolete legacy for business and technology revamping of program and project management through the Salesforce Amp-Impact platform. The Project Management Officer monitors and supports the planning, technical development, integration and delivery of the program, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of business change and digital transformation. The position is located in the Bureau of Digital Business Solutions in the Administration and Management Sector. Digital technologies play a key role in the fulfilment of UNESCO’s mandate and the delivery of its program. To support and enable the strategic transformation agenda, new digital technologies are being implemented across the Organization. The Bureau of Digital Business Solutions (DBS) plays a key role in this implementation. DBS serves as the Secretariat for the Organization’s digital transformation governance, facilitating the development and evolution of the One-UNESCO Digital Strategy. As a key partner in the implementation of this strategy, the Bureau’s work includes the design and deployment of coherent and integrated corporate solutions to support the delivery of UNESCO’s programmatic outputs, while ensuring that all digital/IT services remain functional and operational at all times, and information management, digital/IT risk mitigation and cybersecurity measures are in place. The objectives and outputs of the Bureau are highly service oriented, requiring business engagement, customer focus and innovative digital solutions. New ways of working are needed that provide both effectiveness and efficiency in solution delivery, built on best-in-class principles of user experience design and digital/IT architectures. Located in the Workplan, Programme Management (WPM) Unit and under the direct supervision of the Head of Solution Design and Implementation Section, the Associate Project Management Officer will maintain oversight of all components of Phase 2.0 of the UNESCORE program in close coordination with the Senior Program Manager. Phase 2.0 replaces SISTER and existing obsolete legacy for business and technology revamping of program and project management through the Salesforce Amp-Impact platform. The Associate Project Management Officer monitors and supports the planning, technical development, integration and delivery of the program, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of business change and digital transformation. Long Description ---------------- The key responsibilities of the role are as follows: - Maintain an overview of all Phase 2.0 components, from design conception to delivery, deployment and change management and the linkages to the other UNESCORE components. Monitor program development and deliverables against agreed scope, budget, time and quality, review relevant documents and reports and coordinate inputs from development and operations teams, document challenges and issues to be addressed and propose corrective action, liaise and extensively coordinate with stakeholders, and track follow up action. - Support the program management aspects of Phase 2.0, including drafting budget submissions and other related documents and reports, monitoring program progress, budget expenditures and deliverables, coordinating activities and providing various written inputs. - Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of, and update monitoring and reporting mechanisms and tools. - Coordinate the organization of meetings, and assist the Senior Project Manager, the Section Head and/or the Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) by providing administrative and substantive support including proposing agenda topics, researching and drafting meeting minutes and summaries, handling logistics, preparing budgets, and facilitating stakeholder engagement. - Support the Digital Governance Officer with the operation of the secretariat function for the three Tiers of digital governance, including assisting with planning, monitoring and coordination activities. - Liaise and maintain collaborative contact with stakeholders, and provide technical and administrative assistance to facilitate planning and coordination and to support the delivery of the program. - Plan and facilitate the organization of workshop, interactive and online sessions, and contribute to the development of an action plan to manage change in close coordination with the Change Management Officer. - Maintain knowledge of digital technology developments that impact the Bureau and Organization. - Perform such other duties as may be assigned. **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Communication (C) Accountability (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) Teamwork (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- ***Education*** • Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in the field of Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
