It also coordinates the Global Teacher Campus, a mission under the Global Education Coalition. The Global Teacher Campus (GTC) is a flagship program of UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition. It seeks to provide teachers and educators with opportunities to improve their pedagogical knowledge and practice through a wide selection of upskilling courses ranging from Mental Health Psychosocial Support/Social Emotional Learning (MHPSS/SEL) and digital pedagogical training for conflict areas, to the use of ICTs, digital technologies, and other forms of distance and hybrid education. Long Description ---------------- Under the overall authority of the Director, Policies and Lifelong Learning Systems Division, and the immediate supervision of the Chief of the Section for Teacher Development, the incumbent will act as Associate Project Officer of the Global Teacher Campus (GTC). The incumbent major activities include: - Based on the needs of the project and lessons learned from the first two years of GTC operations, analyse strengths and challenges, and support the development of a strategic and operational framework of action, including key innovations in modus operandi of the GTC and a corresponding two-year workplan; - Support the development and maintain a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework for the GTC and collect and consolidate M&E inputs during the implementation for each project and also by partner. This M&E Framework should cover the entire GTC programme and include regular quarterly monitoring reports to management; - Liaise with TED colleagues, existing GTC partners, potential new partners, and national focal points to design national level projects and the monitoring and evaluation processes which will support those projects in order to report on GTC global and national KPIs; Long Description ---------------- - Support all aspects of the logistics of the external GTC partner meetings to be organized twice per year and produce the minutes of the meeting; - Contribute to resource mobilization for the GTC by supporting the establishment of strategic cooperation with partners and donors and develop related project proposals; - Prepare updates to the GTC website including text content and images as needed, and facilitate these web updates in the backend of the website. - Support communications colleagues in communications-related activities for the GTC including identifying topics to be published as blogs, drafting, liaising with authors, editors and translators and preparing the comms products to publication standard. - Coordinate any requests related to the GTC in line with the Global Education Coalition (GEC), including acting as a liaison to other missions. **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Communication (C) Accountability (C) Innovation (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) Teamwork (C) Professionalism (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- ***Education*** - Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in international development, public administration, business administration, social sciences, education, education planning, communication/information management or other related field. **Work Experience** - Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project or programme management and/or in a similar position, of which preferably one year at international level in one of the following areas of expertise: international education development, educational communication, partnerships for education, especially those related to digital solutions and/or those aimed at teachers. - Experience in the development of M&E sytems/processes and performance indicators. - Experience to apply management and business principles, to project management and external partnerships. - Experience working on web site editors, including design and development.
