Org. Setting and Reporting

This position is located primarily in the International Trade Centre’s Section on Sector and Enterprise Competitiveness within the Division of Enterprise Competitiveness and Institutions (DECI) This post will support the UK Trade Partnerships Programme that will build the ability of targeted firms to export to UK/EU market. The project takes a market-led approach to sector development, emphasizing diversification and improved linkages in higher value-added segments of national, regional and global international value chains. The programme is funded by UK the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office which has selected the ITC as implementing agency. ITC will implement the programme in selected countries through National Project Coordinators and a wide network of national and international partners.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the UK Trade Partnerships Programme Manager • Supports programme monitoring and evaluation (M&E) functions by collecting and analysing data, preparing reports, and coordinating with stakeholders to assess project impact and performance; assists in designing and implementing M&E frameworks to ensure alignment with the UKTP programme objectives. • Contributes to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analytical notes, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications that relate to UKTP project countries. • Provides administrative and substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc., to include proposing agenda topics, identifying and proposed participants, preparation of background documents and presentations, handling logistics, etc. • Participates in field missions, including provision of substantive and administrative support, data collection, etc. • Supports activities related to project coordination and budget funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and preparation of related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.). • Performs other duties as required.
