You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political or Social Sciences fields is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant previous working experience is required.
- Strong writing, communication, public relations, and cooperation skills are required.
- Demonstrated networking and partnership building skills are required, ideally with an already established network at the national political arena.
- Relevant, proven work experience in the UN system is an asset.
- Peace building and conflict transformation experience is an asset.
- Experience in the diplomatic and political sectors is an asset.
- Fluent in English is mandatory.
- Required expertise in political science, social science, public administration, or related field with two additional years of qualifying experience.
Contract
This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.
Description of task
Under the overall management of the Peace and Development Advisor, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
