Result of Service Working under the supervision of the Chief of Private Partnership in the External Relations Department, the Consultant will be a legal and administrative focal point for all the activities related to the Islamic Philanthropy program and will assist Private Partnership Division in the analysis and preparation of all legal documents relating to the Private Partners.

Expected duration The duration of the consultancy is till end of December 2022

Duties and Responsibilities - Leads the development and implementation of the digital marketing strategy, in cooperation with Communications and Partnerships staff; - Serves as the main focal point on digital/individual fundraising. - Oversees the budget for digital fundraising and ensures that spending is aligned with forecasting; - In coordination with the Communications Department (CD), creates content and creative messaging for public fundraising, including audio-visual content, written stories, donation appeals, as well as any other issue that requires coordination on individual giving and digital fundraising with CD; - In cooperation with the digital and individual giving team, identifies campaign opportunities, builds major and mini campaign strategies, and develops the content for campaigns; - Advises the Chief Private Partnerships on all digital and social media developments including on potential outreach, risks and challenges; - Works closely with the Partnerships team to propose digital advertising budgets and spending plans, and monitor spending accordingly; - With input from the digital and individual giving team, reports regularly on digital results and works with the Division on reports that highlight outreach and return on investment; - Conducts regular research on potential social media outreach opportunities globally for the Agency including major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; Works in conjunction with Partnerships Division colleagues and the website manager on the planning and roll out of additional major features to the UNRWA donations website; - Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills Competency: - Excellent writing skills, and the ability to craft engaging content - Communications, presentation and writing skills with attention to detail. - Self-motivated, creative, willing to take initiative. - Ability to follow through on tasks and handle multiple projects concurrently. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. - Excellent written communication skills both in Arabic and English - Good knowledge of the main Islamic giving technicalities - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Ability to develop creative solutions - Drive for results. - Ability to work efficiently in a team. - Track record of working independently and meeting tight deadlines. Skills: - Knowledge of the UN system is desirable - Experience in the Middle East Academic Qualifications: - A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Law Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of progressive work in legal field closely related to Sharia/Islamic law. - Minimum of 2 continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA’s areas of operations and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number. Language: - Fluency in English and Arabic

Additional Information - The remuneration for this consultancy is $4,000 (equivalent to P1 level ). - The consultant will be based in Amman/Jordan.
