Role Summary

We are looking for an Associate, who, together with an existing Associate, and Insights and Delivery Manager in the Partnership Hub, will help design and continuously improve and professionalise the way that TBI delivers partnerships.

The role sits within the Partnerships and Initiatives Team, which comprises of experts in sectors such as Tech and Innovation; Health and Life Sciences; and Climate and Agriculture for our client governments. The Partnership Hub enables P&I and the rest of TBI to drive best-in-class partnerships through: insights, operations and strategic external engagement. Underpinning all of this work is internal engagement and communications, strong collaboration and a bank of standardised tools and collateral.

This role has a focus on five key areas: 1. Collation, analysis and presentation of accurate data, reporting and insights for Partnerships 2. Design, implementation and maintenance of the internal model for partnerships, showcasing best practice 3. Work together with the other Associate in developing standardised collateral, templates, engagement material for use across the institute to build understanding of partnerships 4. Conducting market research for the whole of P&I, to build a picture of the partners that could deliver against client needs 5. Supporting with day to day project management of the Partnership Hub team.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Insights Manager, Partnerships Hub, the post will carry out the following responsibilities:

1. Collation, analysis and presentation of accurate data, reporting and insights for Partnerships • Lead data accuracy for partnerships, working with end users to ensure consistent inputs and updates are made through building shared understanding of the benefits • Manage and monitor this data across the Pipeline of partnerships (i.e. who we are prospecting, onboarding, activating) working across TBI and with colleagues globally • Liaison point for our internal Advisory Performance and Quality team to ensure co-ordination of data on partnerships • Support ongoing work with Business Operations colleagues to continue to build high quality data outputs and products

2. Design, implementation and maintenance of the internal model for partnerships, showcasing best practices • Support in the continued build, test and iteration of a consistent model for partnerships, developing in-depth knowledge of associated roles, responsibilities, processes and governance • Support with the integration of this model with key teams outside of P&I, such as the broader Strategy and Partnerships team, advisory and policy and politics colleagues • Support in the implementation of this model, associated roles, responsibilities, processes and governance with stakeholders across TBI

3. Support the second associate in developing standardised collateral, templates, engagement material for use across the institute to build understanding of partnerships • Work closely with the associate, who will own the overall internal communications approach, to build materials to communicate best practice across the institute • Support in the continued engagement with the organisation in a way that ensures a complex model is communicated simply and concisely • Work closely with colleagues in advisory to build their understanding of the partnerships model and ways of working and how the model applies globally

4. Conduct market research for the whole of P&I, to build a picture of the partners that could deliver against client needs • Conduct in-depth market research on potential partnerships in response to client demand • Build a means to assess suitability of partners based on needs provided by advisory colleauges and P&I criteria, working closely with the Insights Manager • Build out a pipeline view and share this back with directors within Partnerships & Initiatives

5. Support in day to day project management of the Partnership Hub team • Input into project management tools and ensuring these are updated regularly for whole team planning sessions • Build work plans for the team, assessing work to be done against capacity to deliver • Help the team to track delivery against defined Objectives and Key Results, to facilitate conversations with the Director of the Partnership Hub • Proactively manage risks and blockers Person Specification This role requires a structured problem solver and clear communicator, who is energised by working across projects on a team central to TBI’s mission of advising senior political leaders and aligning efforts across the institute in service of this goal.

The ideal candidate is proactive, independent, and curious.

Experience/Background

• Degree or equivalent work experience: 2-3 years in a management consulting, NGO, international development, civil service, or other corporate environment

• Comfortable and experienced in navigating ambiguous environments • Project management and change management experience

• Analytical and visual presentation skills

• Strong digital literacy, including experience of the MS Office suite: PPT, Strong use of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge Microsoft Word

• Familiarity with the workings of Power BI desired, we will work with BusOps colleagues to build dashboards Soft skills • Curious and eager to learn, willing to pitch in with a ‘can-do’ attitude

• A team player with high EQ and ability to navigate ambiguous environments and manage upwards

• Stakeholder engagement and influence skills, able to align multiple stakeholders on new processes and develop buy-in • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy, and strong prioritisation skills

• Results and outcomes focused • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and ability and proactivity to identify opportunities for improvement • Strong communicator with ability to adapt style to diverse audiences

• Flexible to travel and curious to learn from colleagues across our global team
