The Institute is a globally regarded centre of excellence for research and implementation of socio-emotional learning (SEL) through innovative digital pedagogies empowered by Artificial Intelligence. Under the overall authority of the Director and direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer of the Institute, the incumbent will serve as “Associate National Project Officer (SEL and Digital Pedagogy)” and will be responsible for the following duties Long Description ---------------- **Duties and Responsibilities** - Develop the design, structure, and assessments of a Training of Teachers (TOT) programme for governments to build teacher capacity for digital pedagogies. - Deliver the training programme on Framerspace, MGIEP's indigenous online training platform, to train teachers. - Modify and adapt online courses to suit in-person training where appropriate and develop micro courses. - Develop a monitoring and assessment framework to evaluate master training efficacy and course indicators of success, design workshop experiences, and handhold teachers during scaling and classroom use. - Conduct research and analysis to identify trends to improve the offerings of the courses and in-person training to measure efficacy and highlight gaps for improvement. - Keep up with the latest trends in digital courses and general trends in the field of digital pedagogy to improve the offerings of the institute. - The Project Officer will also be required to continuously improve and upgrade content and assessment of MGIEP courses including the digital teacher course on Framerspace and thus be well-trained in digital pedagogies themselves. - Any other related task as assigned by the supervisor/ Director. **Position-Related Skills and competencies** - Competence and familiarity with digital pedagogies and universal design for learning. - Substantial experience in online course development and digital instructional design. - Good knowledge of programme, project, and event management. - Excellent communication and writing skills in English for academic and professional purposes. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). - Global teamwork experience and ability to work in a multicultural environment. - Developed interpretive and conceptualization/formulation ability - The ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity and cope with rapidly changing and pressurized circumstances - Excellent IT skills, in particular, MS Office applications. **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Communication (C) Accountability (C) Innovation (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) Teamwork (C) Professionalism (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- **Education Qualification** - Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree) in education, psychology, behavioural science neuroscience/cognitive science, or related discipline **Work Experience** - Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in working with educators in delivering online and in-person education programmes and/or working with education and/or other social sector ministries in government. - Driving evidence-based education programmes with impact orientation on scale. **Languages** - Good knowledge of Hindi and English. **DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- **Education** - Ph.D. in education, psychology, neuroscience/cognitive science, or related discipline. **Work Experience** - Professional experience within an international environment/United Nations Agency and Experience working in a multidisciplinary team. **Languages** - Working knowledge of other UNESCO Official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, and Russian). **BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS** ----------------------------- Remuneration: As full consideration for the tasks or duties performed by the Contract Holder under the terms of this contract, UNESCO shall pay the Contract Holder upon certification that the tasks or duties have been satisfactorily performed: an amount of **145958 INR** per month. In addition, and upon proof of enrolment in a private scheme, **up to a maximum of** 10% of base salary shall be added to the Contract Holder’s remuneration if he/she is covered under a local pension scheme, and **up to** a maximum of 5% of net base salary if he/she is covered by local medical insurance. If the SC holder’s pension and medical insurance contribution is lower than 10% and 5% respectively of his/her salary, UNESCO pays the actual amount of the contributions. If the contribution paid by the SC holder is higher than 10% for pension and 5% for medical respectively then the amount will be limited to 10% and 5% maximum.
