UNESCO MGIEP‘s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) interventions draw on the science of learning and aim to build intellectual and emotional intelligence among learners through innovative pedagogies. Under the overall authority of the Director of the Institute and direct supervision of the Communications Officer, the incumbent will provide expertise in maximizing global visibility and awareness of the Institute, its mandate, projects, and events through a comprehensive and integrated approach to communications, including the website, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Email Marketing, social media, and publications. More particularly, the incumbent will: **1. Build on and execute an Institute-wide sustained website and blog strategy towards increasing visibility and brand footprint** 1. Develop and monitor a web strategy for content, design, user experience, and user journey, in line with the UNESCO guidelines as well as incorporating the latest technology/trends into the website, towards making the website more inclusive and accessible 2. Develop Blog strategy and outreach, working with internal stakeholders and external partners 3. Generate monthly analytics reports and re-designing web/blog strategy to increase viewership **2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)** 1. Define and execute SEO strategy to rank in the top five searches across at least 5 keywords 2. Define and execute SEM / SEO strategy towards increasing global visibility of the brand **3. Email Marketing** 1. Integrated with the web strategy, re-define an email marketing strategy for the Institute, towards increasing personalization, acquiring userbase, and targeted marketing 2. Monitor key analytics and trends of the email marketing strategy and refine the strategy to ensure industry leadership Long Description ---------------- **4. Develop and execute an Institute-wide sustained social media strategy, including:** 1. With a creative agency, develop a channel-wise strategy for the social media handles, towards increasing follower base, industry leadership in engagement, and brand footprint across social handles (in line with social media trends) 2. Ahead of the curve – industry leader in visual and content strategy of social handles 3. Devise and execute a targeted approach for MGIEP’s stakeholders to increase visibility, awareness, and sign up for MGIEP’s platforms, courses, projects, events, publications, and channels 4. Oversee and increase the impact of the Institute’s social media channels (including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc) with distinct monthly targets report of key outputs on each 5. Oversee generation, creation, editing, publishing, and sharing of daily (static and dynamic) content (original text, images, gifs, video, and others) that builds meaningful connections and encourages followers to take action 6. Create and execute a sustained engagement strategy for Institute’s key stakeholders – using a range of appropriate digital media tools such as podcasts, Twitter chats, discussions, Institute & Directors’ blogs, etc. Key targets and measures to be reported upon each month 7. Monitor social media channels and reporting of appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices through a weekly dashboard 8. Create and execute consistent brand language and style for the Institute’s social media channels, in line with the overall branding approach for the Institute 9. Collaborating with other UN agencies and UNESCO Field Offices / National Commissions for cross-promotion of campaigns, publications etc through social media. **5. Partnership and Advocacy Marketing** 1. Identify, connect and collaborate with brands and influencers with a common purpose/goal to increase the global visibility of the Institute’s products, campaigns, and events **6. Publications** 1. Devise/conceptualize the design and production of Institute publications (i.e. statutory + programme specific as well as with Blue DOTs – UNESCO MGIEP’s flagship magazine, with the team) in various formats (print + digital) 2. Lead the Institute’s digital publications strategy in order to increase dissemination – including microsites, e-pubs, and others 3. With the team, devise and implement outreach strategy for publications to increase citations, policy uptake, and downloads **7.
