This is a special fixed-term appointment for a period of three (3) years following Section 3.1 (c.) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

The position is assigned to the IT Finance and User Services Division (ITFS) within the Information Technology Department (ITD). ITD manages the information systems and technology services required for ADB’s operational activities and knowledge exchange in Headquarters and Field Offices. ITFS manages the key administrative functions that support the day-to-day business of ITD including IT budget and finance; IT investment management and reporting; strategic IT procurement; and vendor, outsourcing, and asset management. It is also responsible for maximizing the value of IT for the end users through effective user support and continuous learning on digital technologies to increase end-user productivity.

Job Purpose

The Associate IT Officer (IT Governance) serves as focal point for divisional work planning and reporting requirements, ensuring that ITFS priorities align with ITD and ADB’s planning directions. The incumbent enhances the division's ability to successfully carry out its work plan in support of ITD and ADB's mission by coordinating cross-functional activities and special projects that improve organizational effectiveness, cohesion, teamwork, and well-being. The incumbent also provides direct support to ITFS director in ensuring the smooth running of division operations. The incumbent is also in charge of ITFS's external and internal communications, as well as day-to-day office administration in the division. The incumbent will report to designated International Staff and senior National Staff.
