- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, public administration, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in fund management, partnerships, or similar areas.
- Strong understanding of development finance and the Asian Development Bank's operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese is an advantage.

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The Associate Financing Partnerships Officer is assigned to the Partner Funds Division within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCPF/CCSD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to Director, CCPF, and/or Designated International Staff and will oversee administrative staff and consultants.
Your Role
As an Associate Financing Partnerships Officer, you will provide technical and operational support in the fund management and administration of relevant Japanese trust funds, notably the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific, the Japan Special Funds, and other Japan funded CCPF-managed trust funds. You will also provide input to improve ADB’s financing partnerships policies, guidelines, and practices, monitor compliance with financing partners’ requirements, coordinate the submission of required reports on project status and/or financial progress to the financing partners per the relevant cofinancing agreements or framework and coordinate the production and execution of the various knowledge product and services (KPS) activities of the funds. The incumbent is expected to support CCPF with strategic and project activities as required occasionally, including oversight of consultants.

Additional Information
This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
Selected applicants will be subject to a one-year probationary period.
This position is funded by a temporary funding source Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) and therefore, the renewal of the appointment and its duration are subject to the availability of the funding source.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew, initially for a period of up to 3 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier, for the purpose(s) and conditions determined by ADB, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 2.01 (Recruitment and Appointment). After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years or not renewed. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB, based on factors including but not limited to the requirement of Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience for the medium-term work program of the organizational unit, sufficient funding to cover the renewed period, and Staff’s performance and suitability for employment. There is no limit to the number of renewals up to NRD. However, this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
