IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This is a fixed term appointment with the option to renew for an initial period of 3 years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. After the initial fixed period, ADB has the option to renew the appointment for up to three years or allow it to expire. This decision is based on ADB’s overall interest in retaining the skills and experience of the staff for a medium-term work program within the respective group, department, or office, while considering the availability of funding sources.

This vacancy is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of Kazakhstan.

The position is based in the Kazakhstan Resident Mission (KARM), City of Almaty within the Central and West Asia Regional Department (CWRD). CWRD is responsible for maintaining client relations and delivering ADB assistance to countries in the Central and West Asia region. KARM’s responsibilities include country reporting, country strategy and program formulation, coordination ADB's activities with the government, donors, NGOs, academic institutions, private sector, and other members of civil society, financial and administrative activities, project administration support, economic and sector work, and programming support, and external relations and information dissemination.

Job Purpose

The Associate Finance and Administration Coordinator will perform and contribute a full range of financial and coordination functions which includes providing support in the areas of human resource administration, logistics, and contractual personnel administration. The incumbent will report to designated International Staff and/or senior National Staff.

The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
