Tbilisi is in general a safe and comfortable duty station. There is a wide and growing array of services and adequate (although increasingly expensive) housing options available. One of the key issues concerns the chaotic traffic situation and related deterioration of air quality. The COVID pandemic has shown that Georgia has a relatively well-developed health care system that has improved significantly over the past years, especially in Tbilisi. Intolerance against the LGBTQI+ community is an issue of concern in Georgia.
