**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : Natural Sciences Sector (SC) Duty Station: Paris Job Family: Communication and Information Type of contract : Non Staff Level : Level 4 Duration of contract : From 1 to 6 months Recruitment open to : External candidates Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : \[\[27-JAN-2021\]\] UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism **OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST** ----------------------------------------- The Assistant Project Officer will work under the overall authority of the Director of Ecological and Earth Sciences (EES), and the direct supervision of the Chief of Section and the relevant Programme Officer. He/She will: 1\. Organize a meeting with the young participants of the project "Improving the socio-economic development of young people in biosphere reserves in the LAC region" on the main conclusions and lessons learned from the project and prepare a report of the meeting. Long Description ---------------- 2\. Prepare the content of the project website (text and pictures) with the final results and the experiences of the participants. 3\. Prepare a first draft for a short publication on the project with the main results, experiences and lessons learned. Together with the MAB Youth and the Programme Secretariat, prepare the criteria to select youth representatives to be spokesperson for the 50th anniversary of the MAB Programme during 2021. Long Description ---------------- 4\. Support the MAB Secretariat and MAB Youth in the selection process of spokesperson and prepare a shortlist of candidates to be presented to the MAB Bureau. Once the final list of young spokesperson has been approved, contact the future spokesperson to identify the anniversary activities and present a final list of activities, a calendar of events, including methodologies and funds to be used.
