You have:
- M. Com or MBA finance degree.
- At least 2-4 years full time work experience in financial management.
- Proficient knowledge about FCRA and TDS Filings, PT Returns and Filings.
- Ability to communicate proficiently with various Stakeholders at different levels within and outside the organization.
- Strong conceptual understanding of accounting structure.
- Understanding of Taxes, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
- Experience in working in an NGO and knowledge of FCRA would be beneficial.

We are inspired by and associated with World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization. Currently over 150 researchers are working with WRI India in our offices at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be expected to provide significant support to the Operations team in streamlining current practices and identifying innovative solutions to the India office. The job would involve analyzing financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, balance sheet, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Actively manage the Bank payments and receipts, Bank compliance and other documentation
- Verify the staff expenses and reimbursement as and when required.
- Update accounts payable and performs reconciliations.
- Participate in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and other analysis.
- Check completed work by contractors and vendors.
- Report to manager regarding the finances of programs by developing, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems. Provide advice on tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying forecasts.
- Ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Coordination with employees and larger operations Team in order to ensure efficient Accounting.
- Assist in drafting forms and manuals for accounting, bookkeeping and support operations to explore solutions to Institutional and financial problems.
- Analysing the accounting issues/ queries and discussing with reporting manager and providing solutions in coordination with the accounting firm
- Support operations to explore solutions to Institutional and financial problems. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences by adjusting journal entries and establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Any additional responsibilities set by Reporting Manager
Qualifications and Requirements
- M. Com or MBA finance degree.
At least 2-4 years full time work experience in financial management
Should have proficient knowledge about FCRA and TDS Filings, PT Returns and Filings.
- Ability to communicate proficiently with various Stakeholders at different levels within and outside the organization.
- Strong conceptual understanding of accounting structure
- Understanding of Taxes, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
- Bring high levels of intellect and experience coupled with the character and presence to make an immediate contribution to the institute.
- Strategic thinker and has eye for details.
Experience in working in a NGO and knowledge of FCRA would be beneficial.
Salary and Benefits: 950000-1250000 INR CTC Per annum
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
Duration: 1 years as term hire (extendable based on performance and project requirements)
Location: Mumbai
Start date: As soon as possible.
