Overview

Assist in managing and coordinating AAE's Awareness Raising volunteers.

You have:

• Demonstrated ability or enthusiasm for organizing and coordinating tasks or projects to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
• Familiarity with modern online communication methods, including social media platforms and content strategies for audience engagement.
• Basic knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, or similar for team collaboration and communication.
• Insight into economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial trends in Africa, beneficial for region-specific initiatives.

AAE Awareness Raising advocates for the role of entrepreneurship in inclusive development and the creation of innovative business models and products to enhance economic growth, in accordance with SDG Target 8.3: Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including through access to financial services. The AAE publishes news and articles on its website to provide entrepreneurs insights on the business environment in Africa, aiming to help them make informed decisions about supporting business, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, AAE offers support programs for entrepreneurs, including Strategy Week, Mentor-Mentee Pairing, and International Business Matching. To effectively promote these resources, AAE relies on dedicated Awareness Volunteers who help spread the word through various social media platforms and discussion forums.

We are looking for 1 online volunteers to assist in the management and coordination of AAE's Awareness Raising mission. The volunteer will be responsible for reviewing, shortlisting, selecting, and providing continuous support to Awareness Raising volunteers who promote AAE articles, news, and support programs to ensure they effectively promote AAE's resources and increase engagement with African entrepreneurs. This role is crucial in ensuring that AAE's valuable resources reach more entrepreneurs across Africa, thereby supporting our mission to foster business development and alleviate.

1.Project and task coordination experience or interest: Demonstrated ability or enthusiasm for organizing and coordinating tasks or projects to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery. •2.Understanding of social media marketing and digital communication strategies: Familiarity with modern online communication methods, including social media platforms and content strategies for audience engagement. •3.Familiarity with online platforms and collaboration tools: Basic knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, or similar for team collaboration and communication. •4.Understanding of the African business and entrepreneurship landscape: Insight into economic, cultural, and entrepreneurial trends in Africa, beneficial for region-specific initiatives.
