UNV is looking for a highly motivated online volunteer with strong commercial awareness and legal acumen to undertake legal research that will support a team of strategy consultants in creating the digital giving (philanthropy and charity tech) strategy for the MENA region to increase and diversify sources of donations. The team devised an innovative legal structure as part of the implementation plan, which focuses on equity compensation. The legal research will primarily concern structural and legal protection mechanisms for equity compensation. This work will enable the attraction and retention of talent, reshaping the traditional employment model.

    The United Nations for Volunteers recently launched a pilot Digital Giving Initiative aimed at diversifying our donors base and experimenting with new ways to mobilize resources to enhance the impact and scale up the response to the 2030 development agenda in support of the priorities of member states. . We have completed the market research and are developing the implementation plan. We are looking for a volunteer with proven experience in legal skills and ability to provide legal suggestions to develop the implementation plan

  • 11-20 hours per week / 4 weeks

    Expertise in setting up Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), general legal structuring experience and background in employment law will be beneficial for this role."
