Support effective CCCM operations at the transit center.

You have:

  • Experience in outreach, communications, advocacy, and community mobilization.
  • Must be a local, and the ideal candidate has lived in the community for the last one year.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the local communities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, fast learner, must be able to work alone and unsupervised.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills (or 'people skills').
  • Previous experience similar to this position is an asset.

Based in Malakal Town at transit Center(bulukat). the CCCM General Support will be responsible and play an essential role in ensuring effective CCCM operations and the well-being of returnees and refugees at the transit center(bulukat) which includes; conducting regular Services monitoring, information dissemination on services available in the sites, supervision of CFW, conduct awareness raising sessions about CFM referrals pathway and community Complaints and feedback mechanism.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the camp or site, including facilities, infrastructure, and services.
  • Monitor and report on the conditions of shelters, communal areas, and other essential facilities.
  • Support coordination efforts to ensure that services meet the needs of returnees and refugees’ residents transiting to their final destination.
  • Work closely with CCCM Assistants by Participating in the dissemination of information/sensitization campaigns in coordination with the other agencies working at transit center.
  • Takes the lead in door to door and mass mobilization of returnees and refugees’ families for any registration and information sharing.
  • Conduct regular Site monitoring and other DRC site maintenance activities such as cash for work (CFW) at the transit center and provide daily and weekly reports to CCCM Assistant.
  • Tracking of flow monitoring / movement of new arrivals in and out of the transit center site.
  • Facilitate the shelters allocation to new arrival of returnees and refugees.
  • Participate in assessments conducted by DRC at transit center.
  • Provide oral translation in community engagement upon request of the superiors.
  • Provide active support in any distribution, registration, relocation, etc.), recreational and youth peaceful co-existence activities taking place within the transit center.
  • Participates in distribute and post relevant IEC materials to increase awareness to returnees and refugees’ families.
  • Follow and uphold humanitarian principles and centrality of protection at all times and in all functions of the role.
