CONTEXTO ORGANIZATIVO Y FINALIDAD DEL PUESTO:

El Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP, por sus siglas en inglés) es la organización humanitaria líder que salva vidas y cambia vidas, brindando asistencia alimentaria en emergencias y trabajando con las comunidades para mejorar la nutrición y crear resiliencia, asistiendo cada año a más de 100 millones de personas en 88 países.

El PMA en Nicaragua está implementando su Plan Estratégico de País (CSP), el cual enfatiza el fortalecimiento de las capacidades nacionales, la mejora de los sistemas alimentarios y el incremento de la resiliencia. El trabajo de PMA se enfoca en hogares vulnerables a través de la protección social con amplio enfoque en nutrición, incluyendo la alimentación escolar, apoyo a pequeños productores en acceso a mercados, aumentar la resiliencia ante el cambio climático en poblaciones vulnerables y dar respuesta en situación de emergencias de lento y rápido desarrollo.

RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES (lista indicativa y no exhaustiva)

  • Contribuir a la implementación del plan de monitoreo en conjunto con la unidad de Programas, con especial énfasis en los indicadores de efecto, producto, proceso y transversal, con enfoque basado en resultados, género, protección, personas con discapacidad y pueblos indígenas;
  • Desarrollo y/o actualización de instrumentos de recolección de información para el monitoreo de programas implementados por WFP, en conjunto con Programas y oficinas de terreno;
  • Desarrollar y mantener, en conjunto con monitores de campo, bases de datos para el procesamiento de la información del monitoreo de operaciones de emergencia y desarrollo (incluye programación en aplicación para dispositivos móviles u otras opciones para entrada de datos como ODK, STATA, SPSS, Tableau);
  • Realizar el levantamiento primario de datos a través de la aplicación de encuestas y grupos focales;
  • Apoyar capacitaciones a monitores de campo sobre uso de instrumentos de monitoreo diseñados, uso de dispositivos móviles y digitación de datos;
  • Limpieza y procesamiento de datos, así como estimación de indicadores corporativos;
  • Realizar visitas periódicas de campo con el fin de respaldar y complementar los datos de M&E en temas identificados en la ejecución;
  • Elaborar reportes de monitoreo semestrales y anuales; y/o según requerimientos;
  • Contribuir a la alimentación de herramientas corporativas de monitoreo;
  • Establecer y mantener comunicación regular con el equipo de M&E de la oficina regional y el equipo de Programa a nivel nacional; según sea requerido;
  • En coordinación con las oficinas de campo, dar seguimiento al monitoreo de precios al consumidor de los granos básicos en los mercados locales y en las zonas de intervención del PMA; así como seguimiento de los precios al productor, mayoristas e insumos agrícolas;
  • Realizar otras tareas que le sean encomendadas.

CUALIFICACIONES REQUERIDAS:

Educación: Graduado(a) universitario(a) en Ciencias Sociales, Economía, Estadística, Demografía, Agronomía, Administración de Empresas o disciplinas afines relacionadas con monitoreo, evaluación y análisis de datos.

Experiencia:

  • Mínimo tres (3) años de experiencia profesional relevante en monitoreo y evaluación, gestión de información, investigación social, análisis socioeconómico o áreas afines.
  • Conocimiento y experiencia en temas económicos, sociales, seguridad alimentaria y nutricional.
  • Experiencia en diseño, implementación y seguimiento de marcos de resultados, indicadores de desempeño y sistemas de monitoreo.
  • Dominio de paquetes estadísticos y herramientas para gestión, procesamiento y análisis de datos, tales como SPSS, STATA, R, Excel avanzado u otros equivalentes.
  • Experiencia en métodos de investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa; incluyendo diseño de encuestas, grupos focales, entrevistas y análisis de información.
  • Experiencia en el uso de herramientas digitales para la recopilación de datos, será considerada una ventaja.
  • Experiencia en elaboración de informes técnicos, presentaciones ejecutivas y análisis basados en evidencia para la toma de decisiones.

Idiomas: Dominio avanzado, hablado y escrito, del español. Se valorará dominio intermedio del

  • inglés.
