You have:

Contract
This is a UNV National Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Youth contracts.
The candidate will contribution to the implementation of a tool that will feature the following functionalities:
- Scraping static online data
- Disaggregate the jobs of the future into sectors, subsectors, regions, years of experience, salary, occupation, primary skills, secondary skills over time. This can be presented as a dynamic feature for end users.
- Dynamic Disaggregate traditional jobs in the same manner as point 1.
- Monitor the change of traditional skills and see how skills are changing for the same job due to automation/ technology. In other words, check the evolution of the skill sets of a given job.
- Forecast the growth of certain skills, jobs, sectors, career paths and regions overtime. Under the trend analysis tab, a forecast option could be included.
- Provide evidence of the skills mismatch between demanded jobs and school attainments.
- Comparative analysis between nations/subnational regional/sub regional, etc.
- Possibility of adding new data sources.
- Operate seamlessly with continuously updated live data.
- Provide reports and export data according to job classification categories.
Under the supervision of the Information Systems Assistant, the UN Volunteer is responsible to perform the following functions:
1- Conduct various annotation workshops/trainings to prepare datasets for ESCWA's job monitor. This is very crucial as the quality of the annotated data determines the quality of the NER. This is a long process that needs time and close follow up. 2- Assist in data analysis (regular expression searches, data aggregations and reporting of KPIs) as well as structuring of raw data for their use as inputs to our ML models. 3- Conduct data analysis specific to the jobs in the Arab region, skills, gender, disabilities, SDGs. 4- Build an Arab taxonomy for skills. 5- Assist in other automation projects if needed.

For national assignments:
As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in Beirut, Lebanon. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.
Conditions of Service for national UN Volunteers :
The contract lasts for the period indicated above with possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment. The applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents - except for UN Community Volunteers), as well as final repatriation (if applicable). Furthermore, in non-family duty stations that belong to hardship categories D or E, as classified by the ICSC, a Well-Being Differential (WBD) will be provided monthly.
