Work Location Geneva, UN premises.

Expected duration 6 months with possibility of extension pending availability of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities The individual contractor will be located in the Buildings Unit of the Facilities Management Section, Central Support Services, Division of Administration, United Nations Office at Geneva.

Under the direct supervision of Design and space management supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: 1. Develops, maintains, and oversees an inventory of technical documents and drawings related to Buildings. Perform document management and administration role. 2. Assists in the development, implementation and oversight of short and long-term goals designed to effectively maintain the premises. 3. Architectural studies: prepares detailed studies for renovation of specific areas including architectural drawings, sections and technical details, integrating environmental initiatives and modern technologies with respect to the historical value of the building. 4. Consults and interprets building codes for construction, fire and health safety, accessibility for each project. 5. Makes the necessary updates to the architectural drawings and ensures the maintain of the master data drawings integrating the "as built" plans for the end of the project by utilizing BIM, CAD and REVIT. Draft and maintain revisions for CAD and REVIT drawings of all Palais des Nations Buildings and Annexes. Field survey and provide "As-Built" plan updates for existing spaces and areas.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Proficiency in BIM, REVIT and AUTO-CAD is required.

Academic Qualifications: Technical Diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, interior design or construction related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in Buildings design, architectural drawings and project studies is required.

Language: Fluency in English or French is required. Presentational and solid drafting skills and proven ability in written expression in English are required.
