You have:

Contract
This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.
The UNV specialist in architecture and urban planning shall include but not be limited to conducting Engineering design studies, supporting on development of architectural designs, projects profile development, report writing and status updates, and taking the lead on disability inclusion in all our projects and for advocacy for the same office at large.
The primary responsibilities of the UNV specialist in architecture and urban planning shall Include but not be limited supporting the entire office on all Architectural and or Civil engineering related works.
Under the direct supervision of construction specialist , the International UN specialist Volunteer will: The primary responsibilities of the UNV specialist in architecture and urban planning shall include but not be limited to conducting Engineering design studies, supporting on development of architectural designs, projects profile development, report writing and status updates, and taking the lead on disability inclusion in all our projects and for advocacy for the same office at large.
Specific projects at the country office that may require architectural and urban planning expertise include: - proposed own UNICEF head office space in the capital Addis Ababa. This project alone requires at least three-five months of full-time work during the initial draft design development and fully dedicated Architecture during the actual implementation. Additionally, UNV Will support nutrition- public spaces project requiring architectural oversight, Girls skating space, UNICEF expansion and new field offices space I’.e- Benishangul – Gumuz new office, Hawasa office expansion, New Jijiga field office and Gambella field office expansion work. In addition, there are over 300 projects as part of the humanitarian response to the recent Northern Ethiopia's conflict requires comprehensive architectural and urban planning skills.

• Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded;
• Computer skills (i.e. Auto card, Revit ,Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others).
Addis Ababa is a well-developed city hence candidates who require special leaving conditions could find fairly good options.
