Overview

Develop and maintain software applications and provide technical support.

You have:

  • A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience in software application development.
  • Two years as a full-stack web developer with ASP.Net Core MVC, Entity Framework Core, and MS SQL Server expertise.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
  • Experience in application design and development in a client-server environment on MS Windows platform is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HTML, AJAX, Java, JavaScript, and object-oriented analysis and design is desirable.
  • Knowledge/experience in SharePoint Online, DevOps platforms, Business Process Management Tools, and Agile Methodologies is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs design tasks as assigned by the supervisor for new software applications and for the expansion and customization of existing applications; Documents or assists in the documentation of system technical specifications. Performs development and maintenance tasks on applications to which assigned. Assists in proposals’ preparation for the introduction and utilization of new software technologies, tools and platforms. Provides technical support for training activities related to assigned software applications; Prepares daily and weekly reports on response/completion status of assignments for Management decisions; Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications/special skills

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, and Software Engineering with a major in or focus on information technology, or other related discipline. Formal training in systems development tools and techniques A minimum of four years of relevant experience in software application development and the implementation of multi-user systems, including two years as a full-stack web developer with expertise in ASP.Net Core MVC, Entity Framework Core, and MS SQL Server, is required. Experience in one or more of the information system applications of interest to UNRWA, specifically, in the areas of accounting and financial management, supply chain management, payroll and human resources management, population registration, education, health, relief, social services, administrative support and other general areas, is required

Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Experience of application design and development in client-server environment on MS Windows platform; Experience or knowledge of applications development using MS-Access and development of reports using Crystal Reports; Experience or knowledge of HTML, AJAX, Java, JavaScript, object-oriented analysis and design; Knowledge/experience in SharePoint Online, DevOps platforms, Business Process management Tools and Agile Methodologies. SALARY: Total Remuneration: USD 13,194
