Result of Service The individual contractor will provide substantive technical support for the operation of the GlobE Network, including contributing to the follow-up of the fourth Steering Committee meeting of the Network held on 20-21 March 2023, to the organization and follow up of the fifth Steering Committee meeting to be held on 10 – 11 July 2023, and to the organization and follow up to the fourth GlobE plenary meetings to be held on 11 – 13 July 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of Coordinator of the GlobE Network, the individual contractor will: - Backstop and contribute to the follow up to the fourth Steering Committee meeting of the GlobE Network, and to the organization and follow up of the fifth Steering Committee meeting, the fourth GlobE plenary meeting, and to the meetings of the GlobE Thematic Working Groups and Task Force. - Provide support to the development of policy papers, guidebooks, and fact-based analysis, as well as knowledge products tailored to the needs of the Network and contribute to the content of an online one-stop hub for sharing knowledge and information. •Prepare briefing notes and presentations for the management level of UNODC, donors and others, as required. •Ensure all work is filed on the GlobE Sharepoint and undertake any other work-related duty as may be required in relation to the organization of the GlobE Network meetings/events.

Qualifications/special skills A high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A minimum of three years of working experience in law, rule of law or similar area is required.
  • Experience in working on anti-corruption and other economic crimes, transnational organized crime, or related areas, is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
  • Experience in legal drafting is required.
  • Experience with legal research, in particular in areas related to international cooperation, law enforcement and asset recovery is desirable.

    Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an advantage.
