Overview

Conduct research and analyze digital literacy programs for the elderly.

You have:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in education, development, communications, research, or relevant areas for adult education.
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written communication).
• Experience in synthesizing large quantities of information into easy to understand findings is required.
• Ability to summarize programmes into schemes is highly preferential.

– Conduct primary data collection of the open data on programmes of the mass elderly digital literacy education in different countries. – After the meeting with the Policy Lab, pick and analyse around 5-7 large scale mass elderly digital literacy education programmes with an emphasis on the elements that make them sustainable and whether they fit people with low income, low digital skills and those in remote areas. – Along the research to collect “weak signals” of the possibly interesting elderly digital education cases: small-scale interventions, corporate social responsibility efforts, charitable\volunteer actions, outliers. – Assist in creating a report based on the research results.

  UNDP-organized Policy Lab at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is looking for the analysis of the systematic strategic methods to tackle the challenge of low digital literacy among the elderly population. We are looking for policy-based large-scale programmes, however, also interested in small successful interventions. Among the questions of the research are whether analysed programmes have the potential to reach out to the vulnerable groups, for example, those in the distant areas and with low income. The volunteers will work independently, but with our supervision through the virtual sessions. They will receive a detailed briefing on the assignment and will be able to maintain close contact with the Policy Lab.

• 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

  At least 2 years of professional experience in the area of education, development, communications, research, or other areas relevant for the education of adult audiences. Volunteers should be fluent in English (both verbal and written communication). Experience in synthesizing large quantities of information into easy to understand findings is required.
