AMNC25 - Intern, Programme Management

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC).

1 April – 7 July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Beijing office

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.

What to expect

Throughout the internship, you will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Gain invaluable insights into a breadth of forward-thinking and innovative developments to the global challenges and agendas.
  • Gain hands-on experience by working alongside experts and getting involved in real work.
  • Build meaningful professional relationships and valuable career network

The intern will join the office for a three-month period during spring of 2025. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.

Team Introduction

The Forum’s Programming team is responsible for designing and developing content to shape global and regional agenda, and organizing high-level, multistakeholder meetings, such as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which convenes global leaders to address the most relevant and pressing challenges.

The China Programming team takes lead on China relevant agenda and content shaping, and provides strong editorial support to other teams for events design and delivery. Meanwhile the team is also responsible for engaging leading Chinese academics and Thought Leaders to join the Forum’s events and share insights with their global peers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Discover, design and development the AMNC programme, particularly China-relevant topics
  • Manage and coordinate invited experts’ engagement and participations to AMNC
  • Provide onsite support on session delivery, and experts’ participation during the AMNC

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • Strong curiosity and enthusiastic sense on global and China agenda, including but not limited to economic, political, and societal key topics
  • Strong capability of doing desktop research, organize and consolidate information on topics and issues per requirements
  • Capability of handling multi tasks and coordination with internal and external key stakeholders and delivery tasks on time
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications with internal and external audiences
  • Ardent desire to make an impact, can-do attitude, curiosity, and fast learner
