You have:
- Currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) during penultimate year of study.
- Outstanding record of academic achievement and a can-do attitude.
- Good knowledge of Excel & Google Groups, Adobe Spark.
- Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English; other languages is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail & perseverance.
- Proven track record in project proposals and management, data collection & analysis.
- Strong implementation and follow through skills.
- Team-player and self-starter, who enjoys working in a highly dynamic setting.
AMNC25 - Intern, Foundations
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC).

1 April – Early July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Beijing office

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.
What to expect
Throughout the internship, you will have the unique opportunity to:
- Gain invaluable insights into a breadth of forward-thinking and innovative developments to the global challenges and agendas.
- Gain hands-on experience by working alongside experts and getting involved in real work.
- Build meaningful professional relationships and valuable career network
The intern will join the office for a three-month period during spring of 2025. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.
Team Introduction
Foundations team covers works for two Foundations initiated by the World Economic Forum, including Global Shapers Community, and Forum of Young Global Leaders.
The Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges. The community includes more than 14,000 members and alumni in over 150 countries and territories.
The Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGLs) is a community of exceptional people with the vision, courage, and influence to drive change in the world. Our growing membership of more than 1,400 members and alumni from 120 nationalities includes civic and business innovators, entrepreneurs, technology pioneers, educators, artists, and activists.
Main Responsibilities
You will support the participation of the YGL community and Global Shapers community at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2025. You will serve both China based members as well as global members, work towards:
- Support the selection process to finalize the Global Shapers and YGLs delegation
- Lead participants logistics and coordination at the event
- Coordinate roles pitching process to ensure youth voices are represented across the event programme
- Help to create event-related content for media and relevant event documents
- Support the design of key community sessions for both communities
- Facilitate on-site logistics
Preferred Requirements and Experience
- Good knowledge of Excel & Google Groups, Adobe Spark
- Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English; other languages is an asset
